My Language Learning Journey & Philosophy

  • First Language Love

Started with Spanish at age 12, sparking a lifelong passion for languages.

  • Structured Approach

Developed systematic methods for vocabulary, grammar, and consistent practice.

  • Embracing Mistakes

Each error became a stepping stone to greater fluency and confidence.

  • Speaking Early

Philosophy of speaking from day one to build comfort and real-world skills.

My Journey to Six Languages

I began learning Spanish in middle school and quickly fell in love with the rhythms and structures of a new language. Over the following years, I added French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Japanese to my repertoire. Each language taught me something different about learning itself.

Rather than aiming for perfection, I focused on consistency and exposure. I used a mix of textbooks, media, and conversation practice. The process was never linear, but each step brought greater understanding.

My Teaching Philosophy

I believe that language learning is a personal and evolving process. There is no single method that works for everyone. My approach emphasizes understanding the learner’s goals, building sustainable habits, and creating a supportive environment for experimentation. The philosophy behind Polyglot Path is to provide tools and frameworks that learners can adapt to their own circumstances.
